These days thousands of men from all over the world are seeking to find love in Asia. Many have had success, and I feel blessed every day that I’m one of those fortunate ones. There are loads of reasons why foreign men are seeking Asian wives and girlfriends. I chose a Filipina and you can read some of the main reasons foreign men like Filipino women here. The best way for men from abroad to search for, and connect with, an Asian girl are dating sites that specifically cater to the Asian market. So when it comes to Asian dating, what’re the best online dating sites to find love? We’ll cover some of the popular ones here, with my number one choice being first on the list. The rest are in no particular order.
Filipino Cupid is where I met my now-wife and it is part of the Cupid Media group of dating sites. Cupid covers dating categories and nations from all around the world and in various languages. As far as Asian dating goes, they have:
- Filipino Cupid
- China Love Cupid
- Asian Dating
- Japan Cupid
- Hong Kong Cupid
- Korean Cupid
- Singapore Cupid
- Thai Cupid
- Vietnam Cupid
Click on any of the site names above and you’ll be taken to your site of choice to check it out. You will need to create a very basic free account just to have a look around, but there’s no obligation to take things any further if you don’t wish.
One of the things I like most about Cupid Media – and Filipino Cupid in particular – is the sites are very active with members. The sites are extremely easy to navigate, too. They’re not too cluttered and you can view profiles without first needing to pay money to be a member. Users have the chance to have a good look around before deciding to part with cash to upgrade their membership. The ladies on the Asian sites in particular are very keen to connect with and ultimately met foreign men. Here’s a list of the benefits of joining a Cupid Media Asian dating site:
- Many of the members are females seeking foreign men
- The female members are extremely active on the sites
- The sites are well laid out and easy to navigate
- You will get loads of attention
- The girls will make an effort to contact you
- There are chat functions in addition to messaging
- Loads of very attractive Asian women
When I was searching for love in Asia I was mainly interested in Filipinos. I found my partner on Filipino Cupid. Therefore Filipino Cupid has become my pick of the bunch. Maybe I’m being biased, but hey, I found the love of my life there, so who can blame me?
I’ve written a full review of Filipino Cupid and you can read it here.

Things pop up and flash everywhere when you spend a bit of time on this site. There seems to be quite a lot of women online at any given time, but I’ve noticed most of the women seem to be from China. Asian Date is supposed to encompass most of Asia, but very much seems dominated by the China market. There is a smattering of Thai and Filipina, but mostly Chinese women.
There are a lot of attractive women on this site and it’s one that’s definitely worth checking out. Personally I prefer the functions and layout of the Cupid Media sites, but that’s just my preference. There are these annoying pop ups on the right hand side of the Asian Date site where snippets of profiles appear. These women are professing interest, but something about them just looks a little fake, like they’re not genuine interest, or even genuine profiles.
You can join for free and look around, but like with most of these dating sites you need to pay some money to really start communicating with other members. There are a number of ways to communicate; including live chat, cam share, calling, sending virtual gifts, messaging and emailing.
This dating site is worth checking out, especially if you’re searching for a partner from China, but I don’t like it quite as much as Cupid.

For a long time Cherry Blossoms has been one of the most popular sites used by Asian women seeking out foreign men for dating, romance and marriage. It is equally popular amongst foreigners seeking to find love in Asia. The site says it now has over 100,000 active members, so there is plenty there to choose from at any given time.
Cherry Blossoms is a worldwide dating site, but many of its members – particularly the women – are Asian.
I like the layout and functionality more than Asian date and it doesn’t seem to be filled with those annoying pop up messages. It has some, but not as bad as Asian Date in my opinion. The profiles seem a bit more real, too, which is obviously an extremely important factor.
Members interested in another can send a Smile to show their initial interest. There is video messaging, video chat, email and messaging. Of course you can only message members once you become a paid subscriber to the site. Pretty much every dating site that deals with Asia works this way. No money, no honey. That’s just how it is. The sites want to make money and they’re not going to make money by allowing members to communicate for free.
It’s quite a fun site with loads of active members and lots of contact and search options. Cherry Blossoms would probably be my second choice behind the Cupid Media suite of dating sites.

Established in 1998, iDate Asia was around virtually at the inception of internet dating sites, so they certainly have the experience. This dating site focuses on all of Asia, but mostly seems to target women from Thailand and Vietnam. However, there is a smattering of women from the Philippines, Taiwan and China as well. It’s quite a popular site with Western men seeking Asian girlfriends and wives, but you can’t just create a profile and get going. You have to apply and be approved first before you can access the site.
This site also tends to censor email correspondence between members. They state they need to do this in order to avoid fraud and scams infiltrating their site, and also to translate the email into the receiver’s native language. I really don’t like this aspect of iDate Asia, though. Emails and messages are meant to be private correspondence between the man and the woman, not be read by some website administrator.
There are the usual modes of member contact; including showing interest, messaging, emailing and live chat. Like all these sites, though, you have to pay to start communicating properly.
It’s not a bad dating site, and it seems to get some pretty positive reviews, but there are some things about iDate Asia that just don’t really sit well with me. It’s my least favourite out of the four covered in this post.

The Wrap Up
So there are four of the more popular dating sites and companies that cater to the matching of Western men with Asian ladies. Cupid Media (especially Filipino Cupid) is definitely my number one choice. But that’s just my opinion. If you have any experience with any of the sites above, or one not mentioned here that caters to the Asian dating market, feel free to tell us about it in the comments below.
