Filipina Brides: My Wife’s First Trip To Australia

My Filipina wife's first trip to my home country of Australia was like our honeymoon. She spent a little over a month here with me and stayed for the Christmas/New Year period of 2015/16. It was the first time she had met some of my friends and family, as none of them were able to make our Filipino wedding in October of last year. This post is more of a pictorial of her time spent with me here.

Our first day at the beach on the Gold Coast. The weather was perfect. Summer had just started, but thankfully it wasn't hot. We had just escaped the heat and humidity of the Philippines and cooler weather was definitely a welcome relief for both of us.

I was away for 5 months and had to leave Candy, my little Shih Tzu dog, behind. She stayed with her friend and with another Shih Tzu named Shaylee. I missed Candy like crazy, but it was a happy day when Jeany met Candy for the very first time.

Our first trip into the Gold Coast Hinterland together. It was another awesome day, not too hot, clear weather, and the mountain areas were not over crowded. Jeany had a great time up in the mountains and we made a few more trips to this region and others while she was here.

    1. Hi Peter. Thanks for leaving a comment. My wife isn’t yet living here. She just came over for a holiday. She’s now back in the Philippines. I don’t know your story so I don’t know why your wife hasn’t been able to get a visa. We haven’t yet started the process of a partner visa, but will do so when we have the money for the application fee. Both my wife and I know a lot of Filipinas who have managed to get permanent visas to Australia, so it can happen. Best of luck to you for the future. Are you living over in the Philippines?
